That’s going to happen in a few years, but then the huge battery will take over from there

At least this is the case with F87 vehicles.
I have an F87, and added an Antigravity battery: 48 lbs lighter. Under $1,000.

Any shop can "code" the system in 20 minutes.

I've had zero issues.

Have a F87 not G87 but the same info applies…

For years replacing the battery with a lithium version is one of the first mods Ive done with several of my track & road cars including my F87…relatively cheap & simple to do, one of the best bang for buck mods available…https://www.lithiumax.com.au

I’ve also fitted quality 1 piece seats into several cars including my F87, again a must do mod for anyone serious about driving/tracking their car & although somewhat more costly & a little more difficult (fitting kits etc are available) they completely transform the driving experience both on & off track…https://www.cobraseats.com

I mean yes but if it's a car people want to convince their SO's on practicality, then the Supra isn't going to win that lol

Any of the concerns you may have over 40-45 pounds can be remedied with corner balancing.

Or you can do it yourself in 5 minutes with BimmerLink and an obd reader.

Which option to code the Antigravity?

And is that even necessary? I thought antigravity emulates a regular AGM battery with its BMS

My weight measures will be the battery and replacing the cast wheels with takeoff G80/G82 wheels (preferably 4 x 19" base G80 rear wheels with square 285/35R19).

That is 80 lbs right there, with 40lbs of it being rotating mass.

I just started shopping around for a lithium battery a few days ago and was checking this one out. Trying to find a good deal on it somewhere.

[QUOTE=Zamorskii;30182351]Wait, so I could just lose 40lb off my waist and pocket $1k that I’d otherwise spend on the battery? Sweet.

Or eat a high fiber diet and take a big dump before a track day. A good lbs/$ savings!

I did not want to watch a video to hear how much weight they lost with both items

Seats = X
Battery = Y

No need to watch a video

Removing door cards, rear seat back, rear seat, swapping from seats for track buckets and of course the battery will get us somewhere in terms of weight! But it starts so high... how low will these items get you?

if you start with Jackie's current build at 3780 (with 50% gas), then deleting the passenger and rear seats gets you to what, roughly 3710 ish? Or 3630 dry. Less if you started with an MT, more if you started with the sunroof.

If you need to reduce the weight from M2, you bought the wrong car. I didn’t even watch the video, why would you buy a 3800+ lb car if you want a light weight car.
