I have a G80 looking at getting a G42 for the daily not really interested in another full M car right now

That’s fine but it wouldn’t be smart to put money into it unnecessarily…. Just drive it and enjoy it.

Pretty curios about this also - especially for the engine mounts as they look very similar to the B58TU ones on the m240i and i was looking to increase engine stiffness. The hubs might also fit , the brace will probably need some drilling in the strut tower.

If someone has any info about compatibility of engine mounts between the G42 m240i and the M4 CSL - it would be great .

Full is a bit misleading. There are more parts differences like solid subframe mounts and other links/arms but agree this is about right as a saleable aftermarket package.

As far as we can see there are no other part differences, the subframes themselves which have the mounts already installed are the same part number. The only suspension arm (or to be more specific bushing in the arm) that is different is the one we changed with an aftermarket part.

You are still correct though, but for a different reason - The dampers themselves have a different part number, quite why we do not know, but they do and we didn’t fit them.

Curious to get yrs/Imran’s input as to whether or not G81/G83 additional rear bracing could be retrofitted to G87 m2…

From the link below- items 1 and 2 are common across RWD G8x, could the V brace (item #6 with part no 33328746035) and extra cross brace (item # 7 with part no 33329882335) be retrofittable to further stiffen rear of the car ?
