I was wondering if M3/M4 gives some good sound thrills.
As a reference point, although M5 is obviously a turbo V8 and the engine note may not be a purist's dream, I really liked its shifting clunks, the loud blips and the exhaust 'explosions' on downshifts. It was really like an angry whale. How do you guys like the new M3/M4 sounds? |

It sounds nothing like the m5. M5 has that loud BAM when you upshift at high rpms, m3 does not do that. M5 really sounds a lot quieter.
Its like one of them is a race horse and the other one is a lion. |

Hmm, these two opinions are contradicting. Wondering if it's related to engine setting (efficient, sport, sport+), or just subjective/hearing.
M5 does those exhaust "BAM"s in the entire rev range in fact. Something I missed in C63 AMG. |

I would say the exhaust and the engine are multiple times louder than the M5/M6. The cabin noise is also a lot more in this car than the old M3. But this may be due to the reduced insulation material because as I mentioned in my review, there is also more wind noise in this car than the old M3. |

Come on guys, Misfits (Danzig era) will solve your hearing problems soon enough. Let's get a life, it's Saturday night for crying out loud.
As a disclaimer I wish to add that as a leading no life of the forum I must recommend the real life, even though in my opinion this is much better. Lups has spoken.
