Just picked up SO F80.
I only drove the car for about 40 miles so I haven't yet tasted all it has to offer.
Few immediate observations: Interior is outstanding, it is an upgrade in every way compared to the outgoing model. If you think otherwise you are just lying to yourself. I will add that main gauges are a little too small for my taste but HUD kind of makes up for it. Update 13 Jul: There are many adjustable options you can perform via I-Drive, it is quite nice but sometimes PITA trying to navigate through many different menus. I have to learn to start using shortcut keys. I'm still not liking that instrument gauges are so small, thank heavens for HUD which is a must have in this car IMO. I played around with the seat and it can be placed nice and low which we already knew BUT it can also go up high if you like that better as your driving position. I'm 6' 2" and I was moving up until my head hit the roof and the seat was still going, looks like short people are taken car of here. DCT is superb, shifts are smooth and fast. I have not tried D/S 3 mode yet to see if they are too violent. (more to come on this) Sound is different. Way quiet on start up and moderate to mild in comfort mode depending on how much throttle is applied. Sport modes open it up a bit and bring some of the noise that gets you excited. Car changes into a more visceral machine that puts a smile on your face. (more to come on this) Update 13 Jul: I drove about 200 km on autobahn in comfort mode at an average of about 90 to 100 MPH in engine mode set to efficient (flaps closed). The car sounds mild unless you give it 50% throttle or more when it produces a nice roar. Overall it is a quieter cruiser than E92 M3. At 100 MPH I did not notice any unusual amount of wind or tire noise...the car was not coffin quiet but I would say normal. Suspension was set to comfort for my drive. It is superb in that setting for putting around town or long range trips. It is much more forgiving than passive suspension I had on E92 M3. (more to come on this) Update 13 Jul: Just for shits and giggles I set suspension to Sport Plus and drove through a small city with some spotty rough roads. I can report that even in S+ suspension is not bad your person, there is more noise transmitted into the cabin going over some of the rougher stretches but it doesn't feel like you're getting beat up. I expected the ride to be firmer but again I was driving at moderate speeds so I wasn't really putting a lot of compression on it. Overall the car is much more substantial in real life. All the body contours are more pronounced and 19" wheels look especially bad ass in real life...they are much more concave vs what you can see on a picture. At the same time there was a black M4 behind my car and first time I was walking by I totally dismissed it as 435. I think the combo of black color coupled with 18s makes it look kind of under the radar like. I will offer more insight once I put some more mileage under my belt. I love SO... that and AY are my two favourite colors.
Now... replace that chrome front grille with black and you are laughing. Did mine tonight and it REALLY improves the look.

Pretty sure I spoke to you at this event yesterday. I took about 35 pictures of your car alone . I'm picking up my M3 next week. Maybe I'll see you on the road.

Congratulations, mine is very similar, and I am so glad I chose SO. Here's a short video of mine. I couldn't be bothered to do a second take when lost for words, so don't laugh too much.

Awesome car. I was just going to say that I thought yours was the first SO F80 delivered on the forum and the first SO F80 with silver 19s we've seen period, but I see now that tisme has that same combo, so I must have missed his original post.
Anyway, it looks great, and I can't wait to take delivery of my SO F80 in a few weeks. |

Hey I just checked out your delivery thread and dropped you a question about your interior trim. Blue Shadow right? |

In the UK, 19", adaptive suspension and leather are standard with no 18" or cloth options when I ordered.
