Recaro Pole Position Installed on BMW M4
The stock seats were comfy and the illuminated M logos were cool (although they started to look tacky to me after 2 weeks of ownership) but they really don't quite perform well when I want my seats to hug me in the corners. With some helps from the locals, I had my beloved Recaro reinstalled back on our shop's M4. I can't be happier with the familiar lowered seat position and extra supports. On a side note, the stock seats on the M4 were surprisingly light compared to the old E9x M3 seats. The seat belts and airbag warning lights are present and will be addressed very soon.

Looks great. These cars will be great with additional weight savings. Can you give us an exact weight on the stock seats?

Bluesummer, nice seats! I could use those in my new M3 when it arrives.
Would you please click the link below to go to the options and packages survey thread and submit a survey entry to the survey for your new car? Thanks. http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=999667

I don't have an electronic scale so I can't provide the exact weight of stock seats at the moment but I assure you guys the stock seats are definitely a lot lighter than the E9X ones which really surprised me.
the rear seats are still usable. I had a few guys including myself (5'6") tried to get in the back. It just became a rather challenging task. I think I can bolt the seats 1" forward so that when the it slides all the way to the front it will have more rooms. until then, if someone wants to comfortably get in/out of the rear, I would say it would have to be strictly limited to chicks (which is not a bad thing )

And these seats should be about 15.0-15.5lbs each so roughly 84-84.5lbs saved for $1500'ish. Wonder what BMW spent to trim 80lbs from E90 to F80 and make it bigger.

57.6 lbs should be 26.126 kg. Typo?
