Soon to be alpine edition owner

Hi guys

I thought that I would post a thread up here first before jumping in feet first into any of the other sub forums.

I have always been a die hard petrolhead ever since my first car and I will never change, if anything its got worse as time goes on. My cars of choice were always jap cars peaking eventually with a nice rare silver R32 GTR VSpec 2 running 530 bhp but it wasn't an easy ownership always being in fear of the mighty RB26 doing in its engine..............but by god it was fun

So as with natural growing up process I sold the GTR to fund our first house and from then on my wife always promised me that I would get another one day. So fast forward 7 years and I am now working offshore as a ROV pilot so things are a bit different from my days fixing cars in the past.
As you do offshore in the quiet times you start "browsing" the net and after looking at and driving several possible motors I just could not justify 70-80k on a new car that's going to spend 6 months of the year in the drive doing nothing when I am away.

Coming away on this monthly trip I had decided just to wait, well that was till a late night autotrader session brought up two possibilities, a 2009 R35 gtr or this stunning fully loaded alpine M3. I love the look of the GTR but the early car reliability is just too much of a financial risk and the interior is totally horrid...................decision made .

So The M3 in question is a mega clean alpine edition with every option ticked apart from comfort access, but high on my list of priorities was the individual audio pack for those cruising days, I love my music. Downside................I know have to wait three weeks till I am back onshore and pick her up from Southampton for the drive back to sunny aberdeen

This M3 isn't with every option ticked. Doesn't seem to have heated seats and rear blinds.

Great looking car.

Wow- very nice. I love the black accents against the white on the M3. And this is the first time I've seen that interior. Is it from the factory like that?

I test drove one a while back that had the same "package" although it was the US version. Along with the CF exterior pieces, It also had the M3 Perf exhaust like yours and that was the day I decided that I HAD TO have that exhaust.

It looks like it does have heated seats, though. The buttons are there, no?

Nice car! Congrats and enjoy safely and in good health

Cheers for the warm welcome guys, it actually does have the heated seats as the control buttons for them are actually in the air con panel. As for the rear blind that I dont actually know if it has or not but its a option I have never had before so will never miss it, plus its scotland I live in so sunshine does happen but not to the extreme like you guys get.

First mod has already been done prior to me picking it up, exhaust mod has been done

Hey guys our women arent that special, give me one of your fine hot ass american girls anyday of the week.

Thank god the internet on this boat is sooo slow or else I think I would have caved and bought a set of rims already

Yeah, I don't think anyone has ever said "I'm not buying this car because it doesn't have the rear sunshade" HA!

That said, I use mine all the time. Most of the time because my when my boy is in the back I like to block out the brutal summer sun we get down south here. I also put it up if I leave it parked out in the sun. But its one of those things that I would not miss if it wasn't there.

So you got the exhaust mod? I saw the exhaust tips and just assumed you had the M Performance Exhaust already installed
