[UPDATED] Picked up my F80 MW/Black/Black Wheels

6k Mile update:
- Car had some bad radial pull in miles 2,400 - 5k, seems to have subsided or I got used to it...
- Windows still creaking, and it is loud
- Car had improved gas mileage after 2k, I get about 20 MPG on average now but that may be more of a product of not wrenching it everywhere I go
- I put XPEL "bikini cut on"... it is a must
- I am wishing I purchased the adaptive suspension, not sure why I didn't.


Takeaways:
- Everything I was worried about configuration wise is gone the moment you roll forward
- Throttle blipping is a dream
- Gas mileage isn't anywhere near 24, but I have also been pushing the break-in limits
- Passive suspension is a little rough but tolerable
- iDrive is driving me crazy with random muting of guidance, not allowing me to use pandora/spotify on USB mode
- Seats are incredibly comfortable and tons of space in back

Here are some pics from the day I picked it up right after I clay-barred/sealed/wax her, slapped on a new grill, and got her tinted. More to follow.

The only other features I added were the wheels and extended leather, I was on the fence with executive only for the HUD and and adaptive suspension. As i drive it I don't really see myself missing it so I am happy overall.

More impressions:

- Wind noise is very apparent over 70+ mph, something that I never noticed in the e90 328i.
- Sport+ is very sensitive, with a lot of construction on the nearby interstate making the lanes tight, my GF said she can feel the car shifting laterally a lot, something I have to get used to
- Everybody wants to race you
- The doors don't shut quite as nice the e90, but I don't have a problem with it
- The car sounds tremendous, at low speeds with the MT I will blip the throttle from time to time to try and creep around and the exhaust note is perfect
- Every seat in the car is comfortable

I went through Pentagon, I hear they don't even do BMW anymore, what a shame. When did you put your order in again?

The drone was with a DJI Phantom Vision 2+, more pics and video to come! And yes I will do the survey, thanks for handwork in the forum!

3M color stable 20% all the way around, it is perfect IMO and is not too dark at night.

You are going to love it, I originally had ordered an AW M4, then my GF said she liked MW better and she has good taste so I took a chance even though I hate it on F30s, I actually snuck onto the lot the night was delivered after hours and the second I laid eyes on it I fell in love, dirty and all. One bad thing is the front of the rear flare panel gets SUPER DIRTY even at normal driving speeds within minutes.

I also originally wanted to get the Sakhir interior, but was afraid that one day I would just stop liking it-- I saw the interior at the BMW of Austin and the back seat was just overdone and didn't have a good blend in my opinion so now I know for a fact that the White/black although overdone was the right combo for me.

Placed my order with them march first. Was first scheduled for a june build then got pushed back with no confirmed date a week before it should have went into production. Then beginning of july got word I was slotted and confirmed for august. So he's hoping it starts this week. You are right they no longer sell BMW in Germany but they still do in spain and italy. The German pentagon locations now sell lexus. Im stationed in spain so I ordered at the rota location. When were you built may or june??

No problem! I have many veterans in my family and many of my childhood friends have served in Afghanistan and Iraq. I appreciate everything they and every other member of our armed forces do. You guys make it possible for the rest of us to live the lives we do. You're all amazing!

And that is the only thing that's held me back about making a concrete decision on the interior. I won't be ordering one for another year or so, so I have time haha But I've always loved the idea of having red leather in the interior of an M3 or any M car for that matter. I just don't know if I'd be able to live with it day in and day out. The first time I ever saw a Sakhir Orange interior was on an X5M and my first reaction when opening the door was "Damn that's loud!" and I wasn't talking about the stereo or the engine

These photos are amazing though, is there any way I could get a couple in hi-res? They are definitely background worthy!

Mine began production end of may finished Jun 11, bummer for your push back, but I am glad you are sticking with it, it is such a phenomenal car.

Oh know, now you know my reddit name, don't tell the entire forum I am a Seahawk fanatic I got the DJI Phantom 2+, so pre-built but I wanted the downlink capability and the camera is awesome!
