there is not many performance mod options that you can buy for that much and have significant gains. The one thing I would suggest would be a cold air intake. If you are talking about esthetic mods then you have a few more options

I'd buy stock and try to build that amount to something that would actually matter to a BMW. You can't buy exhaust, intake or tune for that much! LOL

You can get a used intake for about 800 bucks, I have seen dinan ones on here for around $700, so even with a $69 new filter from dinan you are under $800

There are tons of great deals on mods out there between the FS section here and craigslist. You could do a lot with 800$ if you are patient and vigilant. |

LOL - definitely not a yuppie. I'm a Mustang guy that made the mistake of driving a BMW (thus making the Mustang feel like a truck)! I'm still adjusting to the cost of modifying this thing (hence my answer). Now...give me $800 and a Mustang and I can show you how to make some performance improvements! I do most of my own work (fortunately), so it's the actual cost of parts that I'm trying to adjust to. There is just nothing about a CAI that justifies $1000, or an exhaust that justifies $7000. Mark-up b/c it goes on a BMW is amazing to me...but apparently people pay it so it is what it is...

The mirror is curved towards the outer end to help see your blind spot better. They bug the crap out of me because everything looks stretched in the mirror. Most people just don't know how to set their side mirrors properly.
