40% off MSRP??

Ok, so, say your CA emails you a quote that shows the right car and all the right equipment, but the sales price is 40% below MSRP. Do you say: "give me two" -or- "are you really sure"?

"Total sale price reflects final negotiated price inclusive of all dealer and/or factory incentives."

That is one heck of a dealer/factory incentive!!

Ya, that's the ticket!

He had done a quote for me with a specific build that came out within the realm of plausibility (ie, split the profit). I asked him to take three things off and add two. Then Bam! New out-the-door price is $34k less than before. Now those were some mighty 'spensive options.

I've gone to negotiating in person, to negotiating on the phone (Me: let me check with my adviser [ie, office mate]: Hold), to negotiating with email. It takes the back and forth to the service manager while I sit in the chair tactic out of the equation. I hate that with a passion.

I do see him a lot in person though, I live only 5mi from the dealer and my son and I stop by to check out the shiny new sheet metal from time to time.

Well...I'm confident that he's my real dude and won't take my money and run with it. I'm also confident that he probably made a mistake unless BMW has put some awesome incentives in place for 2015 X6s.

I want that mistake price man! Somehow I think that ain't gonna happen.

You should get one first, then you sell it. Take 30% profit.
Buy again from him, sell again. Now profit is 60%.
Now you buy one for free.

I asked him if he was really sure and if so, I'd come by and write him a check today.

He left off ACC so I asked him to add it. Turns out ACC is a $28k option!

For 28k it better drive X5 for you while you sit in the back

Do you mean $2800 option ? Yeah for 28k it better come with a massage.
Even bmwusa.com shows ACC as $1200 option ?

Yes, its a $1200 option, but my quote went from ~$49k to ~$77k when he "recalculated" with ACC (and then fixed his weirdo, I don't know what car he quoted, error)

For $49k, I'll buy one in each color.

too good to be true. lol.

anyhow, i'll take this model 3 years from now when it's below $40k. $70k+ for X5 now is RIDICULOUS.
