Track Engine (valet)
Is there a way to find out if a valet is messing with your car - can check odometer, but what about messing with the engine... listening to it full throttle, etc?

My APR tune on my '12 S4 has a valet mode which cuts the power by 1/2.

There's the consumption page in the Efficient Dynamics section. It displays fuel consumption by the minute. Drive it extremely conservatively during the 5 minutes prior to arrival (aim for 25-30mpg). Pretty much any horseplay will show up as decreased fuel economy.

When you get to the valet give him $10.00 and tell him he is not touching your car. Park the car where you won't be blocking anybody in, take your keys and let him know where you parked and go have a good time.

I worked in Valet for a summer back in college and I would NEVER valet after seeing what went on lol
With that being said it would be nice for those situations where you have to valet to have some sort of setting that can numb down the car. Tuners will prob come out with something soon for this

Interesting post...I never usually valet, but last night had to use the valet in Irvine. Made the guy swear on his mother & fathers life he would not move the car from the front spot. Of course, I had to leave the key with them, but the car stayed put.
Does the new corvette have a valet feature with cameras recording and a notification on the nav screen saying " YOU ARE BEING RECORDED " |

I read that the new Vette has that feature - can track engine revving and says that phrase too..among some other things.
I live in a large city... sometimes valet is a "better" option than the street. Perhaps the best option is taking the wife's car! |

My condo building's Valet stole my F30 in the middle of the night and got a ticket in a handicapped parking space in South Beach Miami...$250 i had to pay for the f*cking ticket and they swear they didnt do it. They gave me a $50.00 Shell gas card as a good will gesture.. Thanks!
If i owned a 1970 Pinto i wouldnt valet it! They are crooks! |

I was a valet. Best car I drove was the Nissan 300Z right when the new body style came out. I gave it hell for a block!!!!! Don't valet. PS I was 20 and ignorant. Now I am 41 and ignorant.

I have a buddy whose a Porsche fiend. He let me drive his GT3 and his turbo. I had both do 140mph. Now I did 140 in my Volvo s60R a well. His cars took no time to get to that and you could not tell, my car took its time to do it.
And how fast can you go in a downtown city block? I was not out of control, but I did just give the throttle a blip with that Z and it was great at the time!
