F82 rear quarter panel not flushed with the bumper (Right side)

So I decided to rinse my car tonight and just go for night drive, right after my wash i noticed that my right rear quarter panel is just a little off from the bumper line and not flushed like it is on the left rear quarter panel.. I completely panicked and decided to go to this other dealer that's been sitting on this BSM M4 to check to see if it was like that and I couldn't tell since both side was a little off. I think the rear bumper is a just a lil too small for the rear quarter panels, you can literally feel it when you rub you finger over it. I'm actually not happy about it even though it's hard for any random person to notice from far but I definitely did from close by.
Anyways I thought I let you guys know and took a few photos (sorry for poor iPhone quality pictures).

Let me know if you noticed the same thing!

That honestly wouldn't worry me. Unless you have reason to believe it's been repaired, that looks like a normal panel gap to me.

The gap is normal just on every car, the height is not leveled on one side and its looks a bit off..

It is easy to get annoyed at little things like this. I would make sure your local dealer knows about it and see what they say, at least make sure that they make a note of it in your file incase it still bothers you in the future and you notice that it is unusual when compared to others you see.
BMW's fitment has been pretty poor over the last 6 or so years. All my BMW's until 2007 had great fitment and tight panel-gaps but since 2007 the gaps seemed to increase in size and fitment was off a bit in a spots (hood/headlamps, trunk, etc.).

My M4 has the same thing. I'm just trying to ignore it, but posts like this make me anxious all over again.

Haven't talked to my dealer. Frankly, while the sales team is good there, the service is horrible. To them, a 3 series is a 4 series is a 1 series is an M. I may have it looked at my new service center, once I find one.

I haven't noticed it on my car... and I am not going to look. I learned from the Nullcheck threads to avoid these, because then I start looking for stuff that wouldn't have bothered me before.

Great. Something for me to look for when I go to my car later.

Honeslty the car its self is built and engineered beautifuly! Besides a few creaks from the dash and seats not having the thigh extension which i can live without the car is perfect and i have no complain but some little things specially on the outside should be pointed out to the dealer since we paying full price and the car is def not cheap!

I've been here a month and heard nulcheck 1000 times. Must have been a doozy!

I think the op's concern is about the two surfaces not being flush to each other (one is higher than the other). The gap would be a different concern.
The visible part of the Bumper is actually a flexible cover that is probably bolted all around the edges. Typically the holes are much larger that the bolts. This allows one to loosen a few and use a soft straight edge to match the surfaces and re tighten. While you may be able to get your dealer to do this, it could also be a very gratifying free Mod!

Chances are they could make it worse if they try to fix it. Best to leave factory assembly alone unless you have no choice.

He was 1 in a Million! Like a human Chicken Little who complained about everything on several cars he never wound up owning.

sorry but I don't agree, anyone who had an E46 M3 (or any E46) the rear bumper look like it had been fitted with people wearing blindfolds. E60 was an improvement as is the f10 and f30. The E92 M3 was probably the worst at the front not helped by plastic wings.

I had an E46 M3 and totally disagree about the bumper. Mine had no issues at all.
