Question M Performance Exhaust 35i

Anyone have any personal experience (or know of any better videos) with the M Performance Exhaust for the F15 35i? I found the following on YT, but only the one specifies X5 35i and the sound quality online can be difficult to capture.

Sounds good, but not sure if it's a 35i?:

This sounds GREAT, but I believe it might be a 50i:

And this is ok, and the one specified as a 35i:

As I mentioned in the Bimmerfest forums, I think all could be the 35i's.

No need to be sorry

You will be amazed at how the 35i sounds... some will argue it sounds better than the 50i.

Do you mean with or without the M Performance Exhaust?

I hope he means with because it's kinda' so so without. Not as throaty as the e70. Could be my mode selection so far. Haven't played around with sport+ at all.

I emailed Evan at Tischer and he said he wasn't sure if you could recycle our MSport exhaust tips with the Performance Exhaust. He recommended we use the tips that come included with their price of $1350

Hmmm, guess I'd have to see what it comes with. Not following the catalog comment about tips normally sold separately.

Tischer's kit comes with the M Performance Exhaust and exhaust tips for $1350. The exhaust itself is $1250 on ShopBMWUSA PLUS $500 for the tips:

Yeah so I'd rather see how hard it is to reuse the $500 tips I already bought and get the same discount % from a $1250 starting point vice $1800 or whatever the "with tips" price is. You know, because $900 is better than $1350, and I don't need two sets of chrome exhaust tips.

Gotcha...and that was my reason for emailing Evan directly. However, it sounds as if we can't recycle the tips. But maybe he is blowing exhaust smoke up my...
Keep me posted. Don't forget to add the M Performance Power Kit to go along with the exhaust. Once you start it's hard to stop!

It's metal. It can be cut and welded. They probably don't have the ability at the dealer so they obviously prefer for you to buy it with tips pre-welded, which is understandable. I have friends who could knock this out in 20 minutes. Yeah we're eying that or the Dinan option.

I checked Dinan and there wasn't anything listed for the F15. Any idea when they are coming out with something (chip or exhaust)?

It is possible to re-use the original M Sport muffler tip, but you will need to cut and weld from the original muffler to the new MPE.
Also, on the new muffler tip, the flap is removed just a dummy controller to avoid the error message and telling the DME that there is no flap anymore.
@chiplee, when you visit me, I will show you what it actually is. I am on a muffler project currently, but still looking around for a better canister than the MPE.

Eh? Thought it was already out. Thought sure I saw a thread here about it. Did I misread something? It was like 370hp 390tq. Perhaps I dreamt it.

It's out for other 35i models, just not the F15 yet. I read somewhere in the last week or so that they hope to have the F15 35i tune released by the end of this year.

I thought I read somewhere Q1 of next year, but like many of us, I wish it was out now.

Regardless, I just gave the green light for my dealer to order the MPPK and exhaust in order for it to be installed when I p/u my X5 at delivery. Although they were able to slightly beat Tischer's aggressive pricing, b/c of sales tax, it still ended up $80 bucks more. I debated just ordering it directly from Tischer, but I figured I had no way of transporting the exhaust in my M before taking delivery and I rather my dealer be responsible for any potential problems related to shipping, correct fit, etc...

BTW, should I ask for the stock exhaust back? Would I be able to sell it and for how much?
