Ultimate Drive Event Citifield

Anyone heading over to Citifield for the Ultimate Drive this week? I'm going at 9AM on Friday. I signed up for the autocross hotlaps with an instructor in a 2 series. From what I hear its probably not the 235, but it should still be fun. Plus I get 1k rebate on my m3, and I just happen to be flying home from Vegas on the Thursday night redeye, so straight to the event and win win!

Oh damn! Forgot about this. I did the one at MetLife over the summer, but I was off today... I would have been down for some 2-series autox.

Ah thats a shame they had availability too. I'm technically "standby" for Friday but they said it wouldn't be a problem if I get there early. I got nothing to do but be there around 8 a full hour early since I'm coming home from Newark anyway.

I will be the Saturday at 3:30, also for 2 series autocross.

That 1000 certificate will be the last piece of the puzzle to purchasing my M3 too.

Remember that if you are ordering your cars, then it is unlikely that it will arrive before the expiration of the promo code. If your cars are already ordered, then you will have to hope that the dealership allows you to use the code, since the fine print says that it cannot be used on previously ordered cars.

The car control clinic costs money, but the autocross doesn't. It was a LOT of fun.

Dealerships can definitely honor it. I will ask my CA how she did it. . . She actually recommended I sign up last week. My car is currently in production and has been since 9/26.

Thanks for the input it's good to know that the test drive option is there. I should get there an hour or so early just based on my flight plan. I'm most excited to check out the 2, but I've also always wanted to drive a Z so hopefully they have one of them around as well.

I called the phone number on the webpage and they told me to just turn up 30-45 minutes before my desired time and it shouldn't be a problem as my timeslot for Friday was fully booked too. You should be fine

I participated in the BMW Driving Experience last month at Santa Anita, CA and was hugely disappointed. I got two laps behind the wheel of a 228i on a short autocross course, then a single go around on an auto cross course as part of a tag team for a total of perhaps 1 min and 30 secs total driving time. For that, I had to drive an hour each way to and from the event, and spend several hours at the facility waiting for my turns behind the wheel. It was the promise of the savings certificate that made it worthwhile.
However, I never got the $1000 savings certificate as promised. After a week or so I called BMW customer support and after lots of waiting and wrangling I was given a authorization code. Then, when the M4 came in that I had ordered three months previously I was told that the savings incentive would not apply as I had ordered the car to spec.
I was really annoyed by then and told the salesman that I wouldn't consummate the purchase unless the dealership applied the discount. So, in the end I got the $1000 Driving Experience discount, an additional $1000 for my USAA membership, $750 for the BMW Innovations discount, and an additional dealer discount for a total savings of over $5550, before sales tax and fees. It is interesting to note that the salesman never mentioned the Innovations discount, and that I was fortunate to learn of it on this forum just before I picked up the car. Do you think that the dealership would have automatically given it to me, or just pocketed the credit from BMW after I paid?

I went last night! Drove a YMB M3 on the autocross a few times and took a Vert M6 with comp pack for a road drive with my GF for about 15-20 minutes. Besides the autocross the coolest part was the dinner prepared by celebrity chef Josh Capon and the open wine bar. First class by BMW. Thanks Brian Cano for the VIP invitation.
