167mph, just like the E9X M3, E60 M5, and F10 M5.

Where's that thread where everyone was clamoring on about it being a top speed of 155 and how the speedo may read higher but you're not really going that fast.
I've done 167 speedo and had two GPS displays showing 164. |

I was able to sustain an indicated ~275km/h (171mph) on the speedo on the Autobahn during my ED this summer. The car climbed relatively quickly up to about 272km/h and then promptly stopped accelerating. It would then very slowly creep up to 275km/h. This is the same top speed I was able to reach with my E46. My E92 was limited to an indicated 265km/h (164mph) until I had it de-limited.

Why not? Theoretical top speed is 259mph (DCT) based on gearing and final drive ratio. The car is pushing almost 500hp crank in stock form. The only thing that would keep it from getting there is aero-dynamics. Both the E60 M5 and E9X M3 could do over 200mph (indicated) in stock form de-limited. Once someone comes out with a way to de-limit top speed I'll be more than happy to test it, but I'm positive this car can do over 186mph (gps).

The F8X delimited I have no doubt can get past 200mph and will feel more planted. At 300kph in the E9X it was getting rather floaty.

The F8X definitely feels more planted than the E9X, although I feel the E60 M5 felt more planted than the F8X at governor (167mph) but that's probably due to the fact that it's a much larger car.

the m5 feels more planted and i think same as you. she is just heavy. The measured speed was with the digital speedo which was corrected with coding so actual speed.

This should explain why people see speedos showing higher than the limited speed max of 155.
