M3/M4 vs Corvette C7 Stingray price...

http://www.corvetteforum.com/forums/...-1lt-c7-2.html

57% of buyers are getting 5000+ off MSRP from the base corvette C7($55K+ options). 39% got 6K off!

M3/M4 you have to jump thru all sorts of hoops just to get 2-3K off a 70K MSRP.

I guess its all supply and demand. C7, big demand with an even bigger supply.
M3/M4, big demand with very limited supply.

I would jump into an M4 tomm if I could get 4K off and not have to put up with big delays. Heck, my sales tax is 9%, so that would put me right back over MSRP.

Yea, unless the dealer just sucks, it's simple to get supplier pricing which is basically $6k off the sticker to start. I speced out a loaded 3lt with z51 package (auto, mag ride, etc) for $66k online, which means there is still room for negotiation.

Tough call when my ideal, not going crazy with options, m3 was $10k more...

@gxman: I'm pretty sure if you shop around maybe outside your area a little you'll be able to find that deal.

My suggestion is to shop around nation wide for the M3. Louisiana is not too far away from South Carolina. This means that you can order a car from California if they offer better incentives, and pick it up from South Carolina for free(do performance center deliver). This way, you won't restrict yourself to local dealers only and you get to do PCD in S.C.

If anything, shipping the car is usually around $500 on average if a dealer has great incentives (unless it's on the opposite side of the country).

that's what I did

I got mine from a dealer in cali for invoice +1500, which amounted to around a 3300 dollar discount on my 70k build. on top of that I got the "innovation credit" for 500 and the BMW CCA discount for 500

so there is your 4300 off, it is definitely do-able

contact khoi at long beach bmw if you are looking for a deal, he is the MAN

It's funny what people consider a common car in different parts of the country. Here, for every 1 C7 I see (and this also pertained to C6's) I see probably 2 or 3 Bentleys.

I think for a vast majority of the country C7s will be far more common... in larger, wealthier cities you will see a higher number of M3s... its simply two different markets that cater to different crowds.

The choice will be even harder when the C7 Z06 starts being available with similar huge discounts

Agreed with the others, you need to call around to more dealers.
