Adding Acc Post Production
Hi All - My build is currently in the paint shop, but it will be a while before I receive the car because of PCD scheduling. I got every option I wanted, including DHP and the only thing I passed on was ACC. After reading many posts, I am now second guessing that decision.
I never use cruise control, but the early collision system seems to have value. I don't think this feature is worth scrapping the whole thing and starting over but I welcome any thoughts you might have. I did get Driver Assistance Plus, just not ACC. The dealership is telling me there is no way to add it after the fact. Thanks |

you can't add it later. All you can do is cancel the order and place a new one... if the dealer agrees.
else, you need to forget your initial deposit and order car with different dealer which I don't know if it works or not. |

If it just went into production you may be able to change. Ask the dealer to contact BMW. Some options can be changed, after production begins, I was told.
Both prior responses are 100% correct.

I think I am just going to live without the ACC. Hopefully I will never need it.
Thanks |

That's all you need to think about. You don't need ACC+S&G.
You already have visual & audible warnings with DA+ package, don't waste your money on ACC+S&G if you never use cruise control. I feel like this function is sort of non-paid lab rats for driveless car functions, instead of giving it to us for free and collecting the data, they charge us and still collect the data for driverless car generation. Tell us about your build specs, while you are at it.

I don't need the cold weather package where I live and don't like the feel of the assisted driving. Would have gotten the M Package if I was able to get the third row in addition to DHP. Anything else I missed out on that I should have included?

You got a great build, the only reason it's not totally loaded is because you haven't added any options. Not that they are all useful but there are some that have been source of great debates such as Active Steering, Parking Assistance, Shades, Soft Close Doors, Leather Dash. I am sure you debated each one of these options. Enjoy, I am sure you can't wait to take delivery, especially at PC. I would have definitely considered but by the time I bought my ticket my X5 would have arrived here and I would have to come back empty handed because for some reason mine was built & arrived in 1 week..
