dct gremlins?
I was driving on the street in D2, everything else in sport.
I then downshifted manually on the stick and the program changed from D2--->S3? I pressed my M1 to go back to D2, downshifted, it went to S3 again. repeated multiple times. shift paddles/stick all the same results. about 10-15 minutes later into my drive, I tried it again, this time D2----> S2? tried again and it went D2--->S2. Wtf? why was the car changing the drivelogic itself earlier and then it stopped?

In those 10 - 15 minutes did you not change M1 mode from D2 to S2 and back to D2 again in your idrive vehicle settings? Because this is how you save whatever S you want your car to drop in to once you hit a downshift.
Like if you go into settings now and change it from D2 to S1 save, then back to D3 and save again. You then hit the M1 button and it goes in to D3, once you hit the downshift it pops into S1. |

When ever I am in D anything, and then shift with paddle or lever to change gear it defaults to level 3 in manual mode. That's just the way it works. You need to program a M button if you want to move into a Manual shift mode that's not level 3.

When you change into manual "S" mode from auto "D" mode it goes to the last "S" setting you left it in. It's not a gremlin. If you want one of your M buttons to be in a specific transmission setting you have to program it. If you have your M button set for D2 and the last setting that you used for "S" mode was S3, as soon as you touch a paddle you've overridden the M button settings and the transmission will go to S3.
