Now Receiving Email on iPhone 6
I have been following threads on here about not being able to get email on iPhones on the iconnect system. Text no problem, calendar no problem. I have also been in discussions with BMW with no resolution. I have watched videos on youtube that said it was not compatible. Today I now have it working consistently!
When you get into your car and your phone connects to bluetooth. Double tap the home button on your iPhone to get the multitasking items. Close out your email app, then restart. It should sync with iconnect and start receiving email. Send a test message to yourself. It worked for me. Finally happy to have solved this issue for myself as it really pissed me off. |

SMS texts have always worked with my iPhone 5, but not emails. Will test tomorrow to see if emails work?

Bluetooth or connected by cradle or USB?
Photo or video demo would be great. Not successful for me. |

Bluetooth and connected to cradle work. Ya, I can try getting to a video but super busy right now. Another way is when you get in your car and after connecting to bluetooth. Try a hard reset on your phone. Should close your mail app, then reopen it. That is how I discovered it. Let me know.

Seems like people that are having success seem to be outside of US. Maybe carrier has something to do with it?

Siri, Eyes Free can read your emails and you can send them too.
Not sure why anyone driving the ultimate driving machine wants to take their eyes off the road to read an email on the screen. |

Bothfly Yes we are all aware of the Siri feature. - Because it's an advertised feature much like like iconnect displays your calendar and text messages. The screen also offers a read your email feature.

Siri Eyes Free is NOT a advertised feature, maybe on this forum but not via BMW.

I was not referring to Siri being the advertised feature, but addressing your comment above ... Not sure why.... Receiving email in iconnect is an advertised feature and that is why this thread was started.
