has anyone experienced dashboard malfunction yet?
currently at end of breakin and happened twice so far. once at 1000km and tonight at 2200km. near the same area in (a rather large) town
while driving, all dashboard functions (all gauges, HUD, etc.) suddenly go lights out and shut off, only to be turned back on again, then shut down again, etc. -- this repeated like 6-7 times, while both stationary at traffic light and whilst driving this is my first m car so not sure if this has been a common issue of the past? couldn't find anything like this on the net... any inputs would be greatly appreciated!! |

Yes mine did that many times. Just go back to your dealer and reload certain firmware. My dealer claimed that it is SatNav related. Try to drive without turning the map screen on

sorry to derail the thread: mine isn't the dashboard specifically, but my idrive screen intermittently goes black and displays "No Signal", then comes back on after a minute or so. Both stationary and while driving.

Its probably from the recall. Sounds like they need to install the can resistor. I heard funny electrical stuff like that can happen, and the "can resistor" is probably the culprit. I believe there is a thread on here somewhere but I couldn't find it.
