Any Houston members know where is a good place for alignment?

+1 for F2. Great shop and very well versed in BMWs. They have a few sweet BMW relics hanging out in the back.

Would F2 also be a place to trust for rod bearing replacement (preventatively) or would ABR be better? Cause F2 is significantly closer than ABR for me.

I haven't personally taken my car for that service, but will when the time comes for the same reasons. It's very close. I had the hydraulic lash adjusters replaced on both banks which required labor intensive work on the top end of the motor. Ended up being near the cost of a rod bearing job, and the turn around was fairly quick after the parts came in.

edit: If you ask, or maybe imply, they can give you the shops e36 as a loaner!
