Slotted Stoptech BBK- Ticking sound

Hey Folks,
Im new to aftermarket brakes, and just went stoptech BBK with the slotted rotor. I noticed at slow speed when stopping with the foot off the brake, there is a slow ticking. The installer told me that is normal, the rotor cleaning the pads.

Does that sound right?

Thanks Jaj. So just to make sure, you have this kit along with the slotted rotors on your car and you dont get any noise?

I get an occasional click from the rotors expanding and contracting. But you should not hear a noise every time one of the 6 rotor slots passes through the caliper

Your installer sounds shady

my AP BBK with slotted rotors are silent, once really hot they can squeal quite alot however.

Jack the car up, spin the wheel and see where the contact is. Should be pretty obvious.

It was the dust shield. Easy fix.
