OK heres some initial photo's guys - I'll take some more scenic ones over the weekend but here are some "just pulled out of the garage photo's" taken on the iPhone :-)

Beautiful car! I believe that's the first F83 I've seen in AY. Perfect car for Hawaii I'd have to say. Enjoy the sunny drives, and hopefully at least stretch its legs in very short bursts now and again

Thanks Guys!: Its one of the few places you can drive roof down every day. I never used to put the roof up on my E92 with the a exceptions when it would rain on the way back from a drive.

I know that the F83 seats differed from the F80/F82 cars, but I didn't know that the seat backs had stitching. Is that part of the full leather package?

Good question.. I'm not sure, my car has the full leather and most of the stitching seems to be on contrast color... However I have not seen a "normal" leather setup so I can't comment... Maybe someone else can!

Also would go ape shit if BMW dealer screwed a front plate directly onto my bumper.

Yup I did... They told me its part of the delivery process and would not deliver the car without it in Hawaii.

What I don't understand is why BMW (and other manufacturers) come up with a mounting mechanism that does not involve screwing directly into the bumper. I don't mind them mounting a license plate, just don't screw up the bumper in the process... I know it can be done

Beautiful pics! I loved my SSII E93 M3 - and now I have an AY F80 - so it's nice to see what "my" car would have looked like had I stuck with the convertible (as I've said in other posts - kids too big for vert now).

Although I'm jealous of your fantastic weather in Hawaii, and the ability to drive top down all the time - what makes up for that - at least a tiny bit - is being able to drift and have a blast on icy/snowy deserted roads on a Sunday morning when it's snowing!! LOL

I'd like to say I miss the cold and snow (I came originally from England) but that would be a lie

Its odd to almost never have the roof up, when I get into my wifes 228i it feels almost claustrophobic
