2016 M4 GTS - Speculation as to Specifications
Does anyone here want to speculate as to any technical features, prices, equipment, horsepower/torque, wheel/tire sizes, etc. for the upcoming M4 GTS (including speculation as to whether or not it will be available in the USA)?
IIRC - the M3 GTS based upon the E92 was the Euro equivalent of around $150k U.S.D. - so I would imagine (at least in Europe) that the price would be slightly higher. Assuming it is available in the U.S.A. - would be interesting to see how much it is "discounted" vs. the rest of the world (just like all other BMW models are, including the M models). Horsepower/torque? My guess is at least 475 SAE horsepower, 450+lb/ft torque - maybe horsepower approaching 500 SAE. Wheels/tires? Front 275/35 R19; Rear 295/35 R19. Suspension will be slightly lowered just like E92 M3 GTS. No back seat - lots of otherwise "standard" equipment stripped out for weight reduction. Exterior - all the extras you see under the camo in the pics - lots of CF. Who else wants to add to the speculation? Hopefully we'll find out in 2015... |

The guy with the cracked ECU on his M5 is personally going to come to your house and flash your ECU for you when you buy one. I heard that from a reliable source!

510 hp ( new turbos ).
- 100 kg ( Similar savings as E92, I.e no rear seats, CF front seats etc. ) Lowered upgraded suspension, a huge rear wing and Michelin cup tires, 305 rears. DCT only and an absolute track animal, euro only. Last edited by solstice; 01-15-2015 at 12:43 AM.. |

Extremely unlikely IMHO. Valvetronic would require re-engineering again, not to mention rework to the entire engine to make 8000RPM worthwhile. With the S55, since it is turbocharged, they are going to lower costs of the GTS engine vs. the standard car, not raise them. |
