Comp package springs

Found a local guy selling stock e92 comp. package springs for 150. How much would they lower a e93?
And does 150 sound fair?

Keep in mind I'm pretty new to theses cars but im pretty sure you can't just swap out to comp Springs. I believe the comp package has different spring mounts.

You can swap the springs out and use your existing mounts however you will not get the drop of a ZCP car because BMW shaved the mounts thinner which is what produced the 10mm drop. But keep in mind the springs will still provide better handling because they are a little stiffer. You may get a very small drop 1/8 inch or less. You can order the ZCP mounts from any reputable place online. Yes $150 is a reasonable price. I sold mine for the same. You should also look at getting shorter bump stops as well if you do go this route.

You cannot just slap another M3's springs onto your car, unless you are just after looks. There are a range of springs for different m3 weights i.e. a fully loaded M3 ZCP coupe, will have different springs to a zero optioned M3 ZCP coupe. That being said, ZCP height difference is mainly due to mounts and perches, not springs.

Wait a minute, i can just swap out the non-zcp spring perches to ZCP? What's the part numbers for the spring perches and springs?

make sure there are no differences in the stock spring rates for an e93 with the extra 400lbs it carries around. I don't know, but you should make certain before switching to things not designed for the e93.

You mean the perch on the strut body? I have yet to see this documented. I have seen it referred to a lot, and lots of part numbers tossed around, but nobody has put a measuring tape on ZCP, non-ZCP EDC, and non-EDC struts side by side that I know of

And the upper mount part number is the same for all.

Search on M3cutters forum. Believe it is 527alpina who did a complete ZCP chassi converge including coding. Here he also describe I think 3 different springs depending on weight/options, believe even 3 spring types per E90 and E92. I'd look into this closely before I swap.

Cheers

Edit: here you go, good reading: http://forums.m3cutters.co.uk/showthread.php?t=120370
