Clock running slow even with new battery

Hi, a little over a month ago the digital clock in my car started to run slow a few minutes. Then about a week later I got a LOW BATTERY DISCHARGE warning. A couple of days after that the battery crapped out on me and the car wouldn't start. Took the car to a get a new battery and registered it. Everything was ok until a few days later. I got the same LOW BATTERY DISCHARGE warning again when the car is off but the radio is on. It's been 3 weeks now after the new battery installation , still get the same warning once in a while and the clock is running slow all the time. Anybody have any idea or experience this?

Something is causing the battery to drain. Check to see if your start/stop button is illuminated in the morning (without hitting unlock or pressing any buttons). This indicates that something is not going to sleep. I have seen faulty EDC modules cause this a couple times.

Thanks. Will check that out.

However the car still starts though for the past 3 weeks after the new battery installation. Strange.

Edit: Everything is pitch black when the car is turned off. Nothing illuminating. So maybe a faulthy IBS?

try a new IBS cable, one of the more common causes of battery discharge issues
those were updated at some point in the E9x's

Mike, I had a faulty EDC module on my car about 3 years ago that caused excessive battery drain as you describe. Luckily I was under warranty as it was several thousand dollars on the bill if I remember correctly from the dealer.
