I finally made the leap... ///M
After severely damaging my heavily modded 335i (n54), I was left with the decision of getting another one, or finally getting the car I really wanted; an e92 M3.
Well needless to say, after returning from a tour overseas I searched endlessly for the last 3 months. As stubborn as I am I as not willing to give up or compromise any of the options I wanted. The car had to have: 6MT AW Extended Fox Red Convenience Pkg Cold Weather Pkg Premium Pkg CF roof Around the beginning of this month I started realizing how difficult it would be to find a 6mt with these options for sale. Then I remembered what my friends said about their beloved DCT... Nah, I'd never consider that, lol. Needless to say, I've crossed over to the dark side lol. No more comments of me saying, "You're more in tune with the car in a manual." I'm not only speechless, but I am in love with my Dual Clutch Transmission. For everyone that has one, you understand how I feel

I've switched quite a while ago and i can't see myself permanently going back. I need a car that my girl can drive also so now i can get a truly badass car like a Porsche w/ PDK or BMW M w/ DCT. Side benefits are it's quicker, downshift blips are intoxicating, it responds on immediate demand without hesitation, and more.
The downside is it's sometimes fun hooning in a manual, clutch kicking in corners to help that rear end rotate, quick blips of throttle while at speed with a simple press of the clutch to annoy other drivers, and other things of the like. |

Congrats on the new car, glad you got what you wanted! If I had to have a car that shifts for me, the M-DCT would definitely be the one to get so that's a fair compromise.
