Whoa, that sucks!....when I take delivery of my M3 I plan to have a local garage that I trust do a 4 wheel alignment. I've only used my dealer for the scheduled maintenance during my 335 lease, not sure if I can trust them for anything other than oil changes.

Wow, that's pretty brutal.

They should have given you an alignment sheet with it... Never leave from an alignment without a sheet.

Thanks now I know, this it's the first time I lowered a car I guess growing pains but I figure that if anyone was going to do it right it was going to be who sold me the car. Lesson learn.

No problem.

I've been through this before, and I always just took the specs to a reputable shop and had them do it.

You should have Factory specs, what it was when they put it on the rack, and what it is when they finish. Be sure to monitor tread wear or anything seemingly unusual to ensure your car is aligned properly. Sometimes they can not tighten something up and can cause it to come out of alignment as well.

Why would you go to the dealer to have an alignment done on the car?

Man, looks like they completely screwed up your toe. Even ridiculously negative camber wouldn't kill a tire like that after only 4500 miles. Toe is what really shreds tires.

If your car is as low as it looks in your avatar, even a good static alignment is going to have screwed up toe and camber curves. There is a reason people recommend not to slam your car into the weeds.

You realize once you change the right height and affect camber there's no way for them to correct it into factory specs right? You lowered your car. The dealership did their BEST to bring it into spec (which isn't even 0 degree camber btw.) This is something you should've been expecting after lowering your car.

My point is that lowering a car will almost always create tire wear issues because even if your alignment settings are correct on the rack, they won't be as the car drives down the road, because as the suspension moves, toe and camber are always changing. Camber plates can help alleviate this a bit by giving you more range of adjustment, but there aren't any available for our cars

Your case seems a bit extreme, so I'd guess that toe was out on that tire, but don't expect stock-like tire wear with that setup.

I'm pretty sure there's some irony to be found here.
