Rieger 1M front bumper/ EC 7
Hey team,
Picture update. Before and After. I also added some EC 7 in Anthracite. Bumper took some modding at the side clips close to the left and right fenders. Also had to glue the grills on. Overall turned out nice and really got to give a hand to Platte Forme AG for making it work. Last edited by ts0ulc; 04-17-2015 at 01:28 PM.. |

Does the Reiger stay true to the OEM bumper? I've seen some various pictures of it and it seems to have much more flare on the curves brake/oil cooler "fins". It also seems to be out of proportion in terms of height?

I don't think the Rieger is a true 1m replica, more like a take on it.

rieger is not an exact. its been covered on another thread. the bottom parts of the bumper are thicker/flare out more as well as the side pieces. its designed to integrate with their front lip. also think it hangs lower than the other ones.

How did you replace/fix the clips? I'm picking up a rear m package bumper and it looks like 4 tabs are broken.

Wow looks really good!
I think my next bumper will be the Rieger version. Currently have the DTM fiberworks one and I'm tired of fiberglass. Way too brittle on a lowered car. lol

I also have this bumper, fits like a glove and even lines up with the 1m ducts, so for those that say this isnt a direct copy of the 1m it in fact is. fitment is spot on.

The shop actually just superglued one of the tabs back on. It wasn't a critical tab so everything still lined up.
This isn't exactly the oem 1M bumper. It's reigers aftermarket look-a-like that lines up to our oem fenders. If it were exactly like proper 1M it would be a lot wider. Lip is the rieger lip that pairs with it. Think it's around $190. Had to do some shaving on it to line it up but I'm happy that it saves my bumper from any scratches. This whole set-up makes the front end probably a good 1.5 inch lower. Plus I'm on lowered coilovers too. |
