GoPro for M4 - Which Hero?

Wanted to get some input from the ///M family.

Wanted to get a GoPro for the YMB and wanted to see if there was a really big difference between the recent GoPro or some past models. I've never used one before. Is it worth it to go with a 3 or is the 4 really worth the extra money because its the latest model?

hoping for some guidance.

if you're on IG hit me up: @luciem4

I've got the 4 silver and absolutely love it.

Performance wise there isn't really a ton of difference between them.....you can still shoot at 1080p at 60fps on either. If that's your goal, 3 works fine.

However, battery is improved on the 4 and it also has a full color touchscreen which is more important than you may think. It's a great feature. There is also built in Bluetooth which is great for using the go pro app, or the remote.

I bought it for filming ice hockey but plan to use it extensively in Germany.

the new silver has a screen on the back which makes setup a breeze, with the 3 you need to use the app on a smart phone to make sure you have it aimed properly

Love my 4 silver. Can't speak as to how it interfaces with the car, but the camera works well.

Took a 4 silver to my euro delivery trip.... Now it's sitting in the glove box rotting away. How often do you people actually use it?
