s4mmie_'s Mineral White M4
Hi all,
I'm new here. I picked up my M4 and first BMW this afternoon. It's a Mineral White M4 with all the bells and whistles. I can't tell you how nervous I had been with my option choices, the colour and moonroof in particular. I have to preface this with the fact that 9/10 I hate pearl white. I hadn't been able to sleep the last week and felt nauseated this afternoon on the way to pick it up. But, as soon as that cover came off it all disappeared. Photos truly do not do Mineral White justice. The colour just does not translate properly through photos, or even on other models. I was worried so much that I had been visiting different dealers looking at different models comparing Alpine and Mineral and still wasn't sure. I'm so glad I didn't change it. It's stunning in real life. I was worried it would appear silver - It's white. It's awesome. Re the moonroof -- no regrets. Looking at photos and comparing it with the carbon roof the contrast is nice but standing next to it, it doesn't make much difference. The car is sexy as hell with or without. I think I'm going to enjoy it when summer rolls back around here in sunny Australia! Anyway, here's some pics --- -- I went out for dinner and parked away from the normal busy car park. Spotted an AMG C63 that must've had the same idea! Cheers, Sam Last edited by s4mmie_; 02-05-2023 at 10:47 AM.. Reason: Thread title |

People who don't straighten up their wheels after parking gives me a headache. Other than that congrats on the beautiful car!

I've seen MW on the M3 at my local dealer here and it looks STUNNING in person. It almost made me change my order from YMB and it has me thinking all the time did I pick the right color. New F80 hits production in a few weeks so I have till then but so far I am sticking to my YMB guns.
Congrats on your new car, it looks awesome. Best of luck with her.

Welcome to the forum and your beautiful car! White is classy and never looks bad. Have you considered doing any mods to it yet? If you haven't I don't blame you, basking in the new-ness of it and all!
I would suggest at least getting paint protection film for it, it'll keep the paint fresher longer and you'll feel safer not worrying about rocks and other crap scratching it. You only have a small window of time before the damage starts up and it'll be too late! -RyanG

Awesome! The mineral white will always be classy and in style. I second the clear bra comment. Welcome to the club!

Gave it a good wash yesterday and a quick detail and wax today. I haven't owned a white car before so I was surprised how fast it gets dirty! Really enjoying the car though and I've noticed even in the white it still turns heads
I'm looking to get the paint protection done this week. I'm thinking of getting the clear film on the front bumper and hood and opti-coat over the whole car. The more I think about the film, the more parts I want to cover! Maybe I should do the rockers, but then maybe I should do the rear bumper, what about the fenders ..and so on, haha. I also had no plans to modify the car yet and just enjoy it as is, but then I started flicking through GOLFFRR's thread.. god dammit! I've got the usual gloss black grilles and bits coming so hopefully they postpone the inevitable for a while! |
