Selling my F80. What price is fair?
Decided to let go my F80 for my GT4. I'm going to post on ebay today and need some advise what is a fair price. Basically my only options are HK, and adaptive M suspension with XM activated.
I was thinking around 57-60k? The car is a bit over 3000 miles. Your opinion is highly appreciated. Thanks |

You can get a brand new M3 with your options for about 60K
56 - 58K would probably sell fairly quickly.

I just bought one brand new with similar options for 61,600 the only difference is that I had 19's.
You'd need to sell it quick at mid to high 50's before 16'''s come out and it will drop to mid 50''s at best |

Unfortunatley w/o the Exc Pkg you will likely have many pass you by. 19" is no big deal, aftermarket takes care of that nicely. As had been said, sell it before the '16 are out otherwise you might take a bigger hit than you expected.

I'd say $53K, give or take a grand. Congrats on the GT4 - it'll be incredible.

ill disagree with this one, i dont think executive package will be a big factor in the used market since they come standard with nav, heated seats, power/memory seats and much more

i really think if you put it out on the market for 57-58 you will have it sold quick.... my reasoning is that there are plenty of people who want a 15 but couldnt get an allocation and want a car to drive for the majority of the summer (this should especially be true in the northern climates)

The other thing is you leased it with a 61.5 buy price - you dont own the car. Would the dealer have been willing to sell to you at that price? - some dealers have different msrps at lease versus buy. Lease rate plus buyout at end would have been more than 61.5 k cash for example. Last edited by Stevens21234; 05-02-2015 at 07:06 PM.. |

IMO In the used market the executive option will be worth tops $500. If someone who is very particular about it, that's a different story. But 'nice to have' options hardly play any factor when selling used.

OP...It is interesting that some folks would like you to fire sale your F8x. By all accounts, for a first year model, the F8x has minimal issues with regards to engine and chassis build. Any LCI introduces more variables into the build process with the possibility of quality control problems. I would recommend trying to harness the best price for private sale or trade-in irrespective of the impending 2016 model debut.
