I'm back...

Hello!

I'm Back!

I've been waiting for the delivery of my car about a month now. It was supposed to be released 2 weeks ago but the port was holding some cars for some reason. I was supposed to receive my car no sooner than the 10th but I got a call today saying that the port released the car and the vehicle is at the dealer. My eyes were literally like this I will pick up the car tomorrow since they have to run some inspections. Here is a few photos the manager of the dealership sent me for now.

I went with AW in Black Merino Leather, Carbon Ceramic Brakes, Carbon Roof, Lighting Package, etc. I also got some goodies installed like the carbon shifter, black grilles and carbon mirror caps which will be shipped to me. As you can see the white vinyl is still on the car

What is a lightning package? Does that make it go faster?

AW with black (too bad it is not full leather) is a very refreshing change from all the AW/SO. Congrats on your car.

Congrats on the new ride, and it's good to see another enthusiast that's from the 818!

EDIT: I just took a look at your signature and I realized that you're A3 Photo! How's it going bro?! Do you still have the MR 507?

How far in the future did you go and why did you come back? I ask because I have some questions about the direction for upcoming M models.

To be honest, I have a C63 507 Edition now fully tuned and built pushing crazy numbers. I thought it was all about that but I was wrong. All it got me was 2 speeding tickets and getting pulled over numerous times but tickets weren't given. I bought my sister a 428i and when I went to sign papers, I told the manager I know at the local dealer to prep a M4 I want to test drive. I drove it and my first impression was ok this is slow. Then I realized everything was on comfort. The dealer rep told me to put everything on sport + and give it a go. I did and well ya, its kind of obvious, I ordered the car I didn't push the car too much as it was for sale but I did take some sharp turns and my face was just priceless. My 507 never handled like that and it always just throws a$$ every single time which is fun in the beginning but gets boring after.

Hope this helps!

When they ship the car, it has suspension bump stops installed to keep the ride height high enough to protect the underbody and lip. It's why it looks like an X5 in the picture. There have been some recent horror stories of "M4 riding rough" because the dealer forgot to remove the shipping protection!

Oh I see, does the dealer remove them or when I install my H&R springs I should tell them to remove them?
