2016 Cla45 / Gla 45

I know it is not a direct comparison, but since Merc is upping the hp and re programming the tranny:

http://blog.caranddriver.com/glah-ov...et-power-bump/

one problem for me is justifying the price and size of that car. But it is plenty fast and definitely a nice car/suv.

also- yet again it sux to buy a 1st year AMG release, Merc always ups the car and makes your purchase instantly depreciate and obsolete. Really hate that about Mercedes (see my 08 C63).

Small car, hate drive by wire, and FWD bias.

I like these cars in theory, but don't think I could ever own one. Guess I would have to test drive to be sure. Hopefully the 2016 improvements removes the damn Mercedes throttle lag!!! CANT STAND IT!!!!!

I test drove GLA45 fun car very quick. However it is a very small car with no much cargo and passenger space. The ride was terrible, interior didn't feel very premium. The only thing I liked is the motor. Now with even more power I wonder about long term reliability.

I like the idea of the gla45 a lot. Its sort of like an "x1m" type of hot hatch and a nice step up for an sti hatch owner who wants a premium badge.

If it was close to the 45k range with more options i would have considered it more seriously.

Also, glad bmw didn't do that kind of power bump for the 2016 f8x. Im happy with my car but would find that so annoying

Actually according to the AMG private lounge with ESP in Sport or completely off the tq split is 50/50. Still not the best split but seems to work well.

Go to a local shop and plan to spend an hour or two at least or order 10 helmets online with the knowledge you will be returning 9 or even all 10.

Takes forever to get a helmet, especially the first, since you need to wear each one for 15+ minutes
