Windshield Tinting, place Pikepass behind dot matrix?

Anyone know of issues with putting a Turnpike pass (OK - Pikepass) behind the dot matrix with 80% tint to the right of the RVM?

I had tinting done on sunroof, front windows, and the windshield. The windshield was expensive and I really don't want to put the super sticky Pikepass anywhere on my front windshield but I thought perhaps that it would reduce any future damage if he has to be removed from behind the dot matrix.

Here is the windshield Pikepass: https://www.pikepass.com/pdf/FINAL%2...n%20Insert.pdf

I tried the sunroof but the 5% tint is apparently too much to get a reading. I then tried the left hand corner of the windshield and that didn't work very well either. There is a Pikepass that can go on a front license plate but those are not required in OK and I am not sure about how secure it would be to tie that device to the front grill. Here is the front device: https://www.pikepass.com/pdf/eGo%20L...structions.pdf

whats up Xeno i would suggest you keep the pass in the little compartment on the left hand side of the steering wheel and take it out and hold it up when ever you need to use it and then put it away after you cleared the toll

Thanks but this turnpike pass only works when smashed up against the windshield. For testing purposes, I have been using scotch tape to place it in different spots because if I have to pick it up for each reader I will invariably forget at least one reader so I get an overcharge.

Once the pass is affixed with their glue, they say it can never be removed. I know that is not true, but it is not a job for an amateur like me.

how about stick it onto those plastic stickers that you get from the oil change place that reminds you of your next service.

Pikepass insists that their sticky pass must be put directly on the windshield which works as an "antenna" since there is no battery.

With my tests, the thickness of the tint makes a difference so not sure what would happen with windshield tint + another mini shield.
