Hi, I bought my 40d in M Sport guise and looks like I got form but not so much function. My three-and-a-half years-old son would really benefit to have running boards when getting in and out of the car.
I have seen the post posted few days ago about the retrofit of the OEM running boards, but I don't like neither the cost nor the hassle involved into getting the running boards painted to the car's color. Any ideas what to use to cover the rear door sills to provide grip and protect the paint? I don't think a kid's weight should be an issue for the M Sport trim. Thanks for sharing your solutions, ideally with pictures. |

If you're just looking for a quick fix you could use any non-slip tape I guess.
Like http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00MI8B8K8?psc=1 or http://www.amazon.com/ISC-3500-Jessu...dp/B000QECFHG? for example. And cut to fit. There probably isn't any pre-cut cover for this area. For a nicer look but without the non-slip you could also get it covered with transparent vinyl (or white for that matter). Like the ones people use to protect the exterior paint or have a matte finish for example. http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/3...s/CarWrapping/ Or you could get rid of the kid |
