It's only effective if:

a) You live alone
b) You never have company at your house/apartment
c) You have sterilized your house when you first bought it and don't let pest control people, handymen, plumbers, etc. ever come in
d) You work out of your house
e) You never go out to public places, and
f) Nobody ever drove, sat, or rode in your new car before you took delivery

For everyone else, the number of germs in a used car is no greater than the number of germs anyplace else, and certainly no good reason to buy a new car as opposed to a used car.

This was posted "tongue in cheek". Thought it was a funny article and definitely not an endorsement of buying a very expensive car brand new! That's what an immune system is for. I guarantee your car is cleaner than an OR table. Those tables get some nasty stuff on them. Not a big deal as long as the table itself is not in the operative field.

I make sure to wash the insides of my car with a bleach-mixed solution to kill germs while preserving the condition of the leather. Hookers never know they're not the first ones in my car.
