Stock dyno results

What numbers are you guys getting stock. I have been reading 350 and with test pipes and tune I got 363. Not much of an improvement compared to what I have seen on this site.

it all varies.

I dyno'd a stock 2013 on a dynojet for my baseline and it put down 325 and my stroker put down 420whp.

Another time I dyno'd a few stock e92's on another dynojet and they put down 330whp while the stroker did 412whp. We also did a bunch of FBO NA e92's and they ranged in the 350-365whp. Usually it is a 25-35whp gain by going full exhaust and tune. I would not be discouraged by your numbers.

It's on a dyno dynamics so you can compare only to other dd results. Check the dyno database. There are a few and you can search or cull out the list.

This is the problem with some dynos that make the results hard to compare to. If most dyno 315/320 and you were 350, then something is not right because there just is not that much difference from car to car.

If you were at 350 and added test pipes and a tune, I would expect you to redyno at well beyond the 363. I would say test pipes and a tune are good for 20+ rwhp.

If you could find a dynojet to run on, you could get results that you could compare more easily.

I have heard that you can get 380ish with test pipe and tune. How far is it from truth?

Depends on where you are starting from, what dyno you are on, how the dyno is set up, the condition of the motor and the octane of the gas. I'd put test pipes and a tune at 20+ rwhp over stock. 30 rwhp at the most. Add full x pipe, pulley, intake and rear exhaust and 50 rwhp over stock is a good goal.

I should have done a before and after on the same dyno. That's where I went wrong. But 363 really isn't that bad. Car has around 20,000 miles on 93 octane. The mpe is probably at fault. Time to replace the exhaust. Not to crazy about the rasp. May go akra slip on or eisenmann sport.

No - the max output matters less than the gains. Your car is fine. Next time try to get a stock car to dyno at the same time. It will give you an idea of how much additional power you have gained from your mods. But do note, even stock cars will vary slightly so it won't be exact.

Instead of looking at the max number, look at the gains. You should expect an additional 25-35hp from test pipe and tune.

See the thread below of an E9X dyno day I hosted a while back. There is also a stock f82 in there and a dinan s3-r. Your numbers are inline with what we experienced.

I did notice gains. Just wanted to see what the average car was putting down stock since I never had a chance to run it before the mods on the same dyno. The only thing I don't like is with the mpe exhaust after 4500 rpm it sounds like crap. Not sure if I can rectify the rasp hollow sound coming from the mpe exhaust. It's also much louder then before. Sounds very nice at low rpm. I may just have to get used to it.

Bingo the delta is the key. And yeah if you don't want rasp then Akra is your best bet.
