PRICE DROP - FS: StopTech ST-60 BBK (Front only), mostly new
Selling my StopTech ST-60 kit, the variant intended for all E9x M3s. The friction rings (slotted, non zinc-coated) have less than 500 miles on them, including 2 track days -- for reference, the previous set lasted ~18K miles including 26 track days before being replaced due to cracks; with fewer track days they'd have lasted far longer based on rotor thickness. The calipers are 100% brand new, never mounted on a car. They came from StopTech as an intended replacement for my original calipers but I never used them. The rest of the kit (SS brake lines, rotor hats, caliper mounting bracket, etc) was installed on my car for a bit over 2 years and 18K miles. The issue with the original calipers that I ended up keeping on my car was that the pad openings were just slightly too short to accommodate the pad backing plates (by ~1 mm), both the PFC pads I had and StopTech's own pads. Upon further research I discovered that other owners who had purchased this kit around the same time as I had were experiencing the same issue, so this appears to have been a manufacturing variance at StopTech for some amount of time. Some people work around this by hammering down the caliper abutment plates to create more clearance or just hammering the pads into the caliper (which can compromise performance and make removal painful), but I've been having my indy shop use a metal grinder on the short edges of the pad backing plates to make them fit without modifying the caliper. Taking about 0.5 mm off of each end of the plate only takes a few minutes and allows them to fit while still being properly positioned on the rotor, so I just take new pads straight to the shop when I receive them so they're ready to go whenever I need to install them. Anyway, the replacement calipers have the same issue (since they were made around the same time), so obviously there was no point in swapping them onto my car. I asked StopTech and the vendor I bought the BBK from multiple times for a return shipping label to send these back, but they never got back to me, and since then they've just been sitting in my garage. The only use they've seen has been from me removing the bridge bolts from each one to test fit a pad. Other than that, they are absolutely mint. I've also got a set of brand new StopTech Street Performance pads and brand new PFC 06 pads for these calipers, as well as a couple partially used sets of PFC 08 pads and one used set of StopTech Street Performance pads that I would happy to sell if anyone is interested. I'm in North Austin and would be willing to ship at the buyer's expense. For shipping estimate purposes, the box is 20x20x14 and weighs about 95 lbs. UPDATE 1: Pics. The caliper mounting bracket isn't shown here because it was still attached to the old calipers when I took these photos and I didn't have the right socket to get it off, but it will come with the kit and it will be located in an area that can't even be seen, so I didn't see the point in updating the photos to include it. UPDATE 2: Pics and more info of the pad modification discussed above. It's not the pad material itself that has to be touched, but rather the short edges of the backing plates. The first photo below shows the area that needs to be ground down, which you can see because it's silver rather than black powdercoated like the rest of the backing plate, though that gets covered in brake dust with use anyway; that pad is from a set that I had ground down to be ready to go but never ended up using. The second photo shows a brand new pad that I did NOT have ground down sitting on top of a used pad, with the backing plate edges aligned along the right-hand edge in order to accentuate the width difference on the left side. As you can see, it's very minimal, and the amount of backing plate that has to be ground down still doesn't come anywhere near the pad material itself. The shop I used always ground down a tiny bit from both of the short edges to keep things even and ensure perfect placement inside the caliper relative to the rotor, but I'm not even sure that's necessary given how little backing plate material had to be removed.

I don't have any pics at the moment, mostly because I'm not sure what people are looking to see. It looks just like any other ST-60 kit with black calipers and slotted rotors that you can see online photographed much better than I'd manage with my phone. The only difference is that the friction rings are darker since they have a bit of a transfer layer on them and the rotor hats and SS lines aren't all shiny anymore. But I guess if you really want pics I can take some -- what specifically do you want to see?

What is with people who write posts or PMs saying, "I'm interested. Please send me your best price,"? My current asking price is already listed here, and I'm able to update it if I so choose. I'm not sure why people expect a discount just for asking for one, and if you're asking what the lowest price I would possibly accept is and honestly expecting a real answer, ask yourselves how you would respond if I asked you to tell me the most you would be willing to pay for it.
Pro tip: When you want to buy something, either offer the seller's asking price or at the very least offer another price for the seller to consider. But don't just ask a seller to give you another price when one is already listed and you have no existing relationship or anything special to offer that might be legitimate grounds for expecting special pricing.
