Oddly, I am thinking of going the other way. I have 2014 x5 50i and thinking of replacing with x6.
Debating for 35i with M Performance package or 50i. I love sport drive in v8. I am shy of 35i because I have x3 35i (inline 6) and hate the sport drive, engine sounds whiny to me and shifts not solid like the v8 when in sport mode. From what I read, those who changed from x5 to x6 have enjoyed the change. I want to see if my dealer will loan me an x6 over the weekend, to learn first hand. That is my wish. |

I had F10 535i for 2 years. I enjoyed the ride and handling. I want to try something new so thinking of X6 which is 35i. I have MB GL350 diesel as well but it rides HEAVY as bulldozer. I think I am going to miss car handling. I am bit confused at the moment.

Brand new owner of an x6 as of 5 days ago. Love this vehicle. Coming from F10 and had two E70's before that. Absolutely love this thing - its sexy inside and out and it is fun to drive!

Today makes a month since I picked up my X6 50i. I have to say that I am very happy with this machine. Very powerful, even in comfort mode, and I am sure Sport mode will get me in trouble once I pass the 1200 mile break in period by next week sometime.
I really like the M sport bumpers for that sporty / aggressive look, but I can admit that when I see X Line X6s around BK (Lot's of those) I always think to myself that the X6 is like a work of art. The F15/F16 interior is just awesome. very modern and inviting with lots of technology to play with, while customizing many features to suit your style or mood are available to you. One of the risidual reasons I didn't go for the X6M was because I wanted the full digital cluster display. I can really appreciate the difference displays depending on the drive mode selected. My first BMW was an X6 35i, and I loved that car all 4 and a half years of driving it. Then I took on a 650 GC, and fell in love with the interior and power under my right foot. The GC was a great car, but not really suitable for NYC winters, which is when I use the car most often seeing as how I use the bike for most of my commuting throughout the year. Because of that, I placed my build order on October 19th for a Space Gray X6 50i M sport with coral red interior with every option except for the B & O sound system. Very happy and comfortable and feel a lot more peace of mind with the X6. If you like the design and don't need the cargo space of the X5, then go talk to your Client Advisor right away and post pics when you join the club!

I was thinking of getting the GL63 but had a couple people comment on the handling as well, despite being an AMG. Can't defy physics.
