Taking resonators out

Hi,

read a lot but did not find anyone who did it (a sound example).

I would like to switch the resonator tubes for straight pipes to improve somewhat the sound of my "5.0". I know I should go for a complete system but costs are high and more over as I am living in Peru shipment and taxes double kill me.

Anyone? the practical information on sound improvement and/or problems?!

Tom

I was wondering the same. I wish I could get the sound that comes on at a cold start permanently.

might give you a general idea of the sound. Taking the resonators out does two things. Couldn't find any V8TT clips.
1. makes the exhaust louder on the outside as well as the inside (drone)
2. changes the tone of your exhaust note. Adds some rasp.

Hmm .. the sound of the video does not convince me fully. Doubt though that this is only a resonator delete ...

It doesn't sound good at all. Not 100% Maybe HFC or catless?

If you're going to do it, go for a X pipe. A quality one is pretty cheap. Here is the sound
