Next M3/M4 update/model?

Obviously the LCI has just released and now the competition pack but I'm wondering if anyone knows if there will be a midlife model update (similar to MY04.5 in E46?

If so, this is when I will upgrade from my '14 model F80.

Another thing that will be interesting to see is if the competition package becomes standard (or at least just the power increase...)

It is an update. But (correct me if I'm wrong) LCI came out within 2 years (1 year in Australia) of the vehicle first being released. I see it more of a correction to the car in specs/price than a mid life update. If that were the case, there would be 2 years left of F80/F82.

You are indeed wrong.

This should be common knowledge by now since it has been covered multiple times in multiple forums throughout BimmerPost and comes up every single time any car gets an LCI (happens a couple times a year over the BMW lineup), but again M vehicles get their LCI at the time their series counterpart does, which is ~3.5yrs from the beginning of production +/- a month or two.

F30 SOP late 2011, LCI mid 2015, F80 follows suit
F32 SOP late 2013, LCI early 2017, F82 follows suit

F80/F82/F83 End of Production?

I know I've seen a thread on this forum listing various models' end of production months/years (EOP) - but cannot seem to find it - anyone know the name of the thread or have a link?

I believe I read that the F80 sedan will end production in the fall of 2018 or thereabouts...???
