does your car feel sluggish when cold?
I just bought my car so I'm still trying to feel it out but i could swear that it drives differently when it's cold. Once it warms up it turns alive.

Yes it does feel slow and clunky when it is cold. I think that is normal from what I know. Its especially bad if you drive it while its still doing the cold start routine.

When we had zero degree mornings not too long ago, the engine sounded like a bear that's trying to get up from hibernation. Transmission shifted like it was full of honey inside, and overall the car took 15-20 minutes to "thaw" and drive normally again. So yes, it's normal, and I wouldn't push it too hard until it hits operating temps.

It's absolutely normal, as you have fluids that are many times thicker than when at operating temperature. The engine has to fight that extra friction. This problem affects any car, not just M3s.
