Non-leather dashboard material as compared to 3/4 Series
Hi everyone.
I currently drive a F30 335 and assumed that the dash/glove box material would be similar on the M3 if not optioned with full leather. I had the chance to sit in a non-full leather model the other day and the glove box area and dash seemed softer and nicer than my 335. Is that the case, or was it just the newness of the M3 that made it appear softer? Also on the cloth seat models, I know they get Dakota just like the 335 on the seat ends but does the dash and glove box area change as well? Please be kind if this has been discussed somewhere. Thanks everyone! |

There is no standard option code to get a leather dashboard with the cloth seats, however there are pictures of an Individual car (apparently, unless it was a custom aftermarket job) around here somewhere with that specification. |

I thought that there were some people who got the carbon structure seats and got a full leather dashboard with the XT1 option, but maybe I'm mistaken. Isn't the XT1 option how people who get the "standard" Individual leather, which is only extended and not full, also get a full matching leather dashboard?

This must have been why I decided not to go with the carbon structure seats, which were under consideration for awhile, but that was months ago when I didn't even know about the XT1 option.

Given the option, I would have gone with full leather dash/doors/etc. and carbon structure seats, but as dmk stated, that wasn't an option. I don't think the XT1 option was even available when I purchased my car in the summer of 2014.

It has been around since INDV interiors but you cannot add XT1 to CS regardless.

It's a new thread, but it's a BMW stock photo. I suppose that it doesn't hurt to call a dealer who has experience with Individual, but I have yet to see anybody be successful with a similar build.

It's not a stock photo. That car is for sale at a dealer in Czech Republic.

Maybe not factory delivered, but nothing stops you from ordering the CF dash parts separately. Every piece of a car is order able as a part.
