Pads and Rotors replacement cost

Just wanted to get an idea of how much a full break job(pads, rotors, labor) is going to cost from the dealer. I've got 86k miles and I know I'm going to be doing this soon. Also, can someone tell me how much they've paid when not using the stealership? Thanks in advance.

You're looking at a few grand if you're sourcing all the parts and labor from the dealership. It's not hard to do on your own, tbh.

Looking at parts online, you could do it yourself for maybe half the cost. Shop who did my BBK install (essentially the same save for removing the calipers) charged me 300.

Turner has the full kit on their site. You can mix and match some of the parts if you don't want all OEM stuff. It's around $1400 total I think. Just do it yourself and save on their labor. It's not that hard. I'm in school for auto mechanic now and have already taken a brakes class. I thought it would be difficult but once we started doing brake jobs, I found out it was really easy.

+1, will source parts online and if you don't know how to DIY, get a Indy to put it in for you. I got my brake rotors and pads off Ebay since it was the cheapest i can find. Rotors were on some sorta discount from a BMW Dealer Ebay shop that periodically comes up. Got my fronts for $430 + free shipping.
Cheers!

The labor isn't too bad, but the dealer pricing on rotors is pretty outrageous.

I suggest buying the Turner kit and just finding a good indie shop to do it, or take the parts to the dealer (it's what I typically do).

I'm trying to get the dealer to cover my brake replacement now under my maintenance plan. Im pretty sure my rotors are warped and my plan expires in June. Like to have new pads and rotors on before then so I can save myself the $1500. If not, I'll just go with the Turner kit.

I know it's also contingent on how the driver drives and other conditions but at what mileage do these cars see their first brake/rotor replacement?

Varies wildly. OEM rotors are pretty beefy. A lot of people will never even get the rotors replaced under the free 4 year/50k maintenance coverage.
