Just Took Delivery Of My F80 ZCP
From the time of order at my dealer to the time of delivery was 7 weeks, so my wait wasn't as bad as a lot of you.
2016 F80 Mineral White Competition Package 6MT Black Extended Leather Enhanced BT I'll add more thoughts tomorrow, comparing it to the 981 Cayman S and e92 M3 I've recently owned, but I'm very pleased with the car so far. It sounds WAY better in person than any audio recording I've heard online, and the wheels look so much better than in pictures. I know this isn't the first ZCP delivered, but if anyone has any questions or wants to see specific pictures, let me know and I will try to accommodate. Doing a full detail tomorrow as I had my dealer leave all shipping vinyl and stickers, along with the seat covers, in place for me. It is like unwrapping the best present of my life! PS the car had 5 miles on it when I took delivery. |

Thanks everyone. I'm so glad I went with MW over AW this time around.
Today once it warms up here a bit I will be removing all of the shipping vinyl and polishing her up. I'll post some quality pics later today or tomorrow. |

I was able to put about 200 miles of mostly twisty driving on the car today.
1. It is somehow more comfortable, yet more taught and sporty than my e92 M3 1A. I was very concerned about lack of lumbar adjustability when ordering the car, but these seats are perfect. I couldn't spend more than two hours in the e92 before my L4/L5 disc issues starting getting really bad. I spent 5 hours in the ZCP seats without any issue 2. Even keeping the revs below 5k and not going 100%, it is very evident how much of a beast this car is. It isn't quite as smooth and linear than the S65, but after getting used to it I think it would be hard to give up those torques 3. I love how I can be driving a car more capable than 99% of other cars on the road, yet be almost as innocuous as a Camry. I hated all the attention I got in my Cayman S, but with the M3 I can fly under the radar 4. HK stereo isn't quite as good as the EPS in my e92 or Bose in my 981. I think adding a small powered subwoofer in the trunk would help greatly with this 5. I hate ASD. Even though people say it is better in the ZCP, I can still hear it droning away the fun 6. For some reason I thought to turn off rev matching, you had to disable traction control. Happy to report that in Sport Plus it goes away 7. 666 wheels look so much better in person |

I agree about the H/K sound system. That's about the only thing on this car that leaves me disappointed.
Does anyone know if disabling the ASD makes stereo sound better? One would think that removing that load from the amp/processor would improve the sound, right?
