if you have a 6MT, it's due to cold start...transmission hates it. Slip it more when cold.

Yes, known quirk. Do you have a manual ? I have this too when engine is cold and i am the original owner. The low torque coupled with a heavy duty flywheel and the high strength damping springs in the clutch cause a positive feedback system. It's not driver error ! (i heel and toe and rev match perfectly all the time), it's one of the quirk of the M3. I have tamed it, just press down the clutch if it starts jerking and give it slightly more gas next time. BMW engineers are no Porsche or Ferrari designers with the S65 they went way outside their curve, as a result the has some minor quirks, but it's well worth it as a whole experience.

Yes, it is common. Try turning off the Power mode at first as this makes the throttle a bit twitchy... That should help some.

I've felt it with the DCT and MT. Pretty normal. Always assumed it was the cold 10W-60.

Ahh...the infamous S65 cold engine bucking. lol I remember the first time I experienced it. Just take it easy on the throttle and shift early until warm.

That is strange.. how can you be the original owner and only notice this now. The last new Coupe cars were produced July 2013 (like mine ) or did some dealer have a new never sold E92 M3 on his lot ?

I see. It shouldn't get worse, unless you're using bad fuel.
