How to confirm 1200mi service was performed?
Hello,
So I have a specific situation where I have a 2015 US M4 that was imported to EU with 6.000 miles. I was at the dealer in Germany for a service and he said that in order to still have warranty on my car I need to provide conformation that the first 1.20pmile service was done at a bmw dealer and that he can not see outside Europe what was done. So somehow we got that the car was sold by BMW delaer nr. 21850 in the US and is there any way to find out which dealer was that so I can call him and maybe get a conformation of first service. Thank you very much. |

I suggest you change the title of this thread to "Can someone please look up my service history using the VIN#"? And then edit your original post to explain that you need a key read to show to your dealer in Croatia.

Does the 1200mile service not show up in the vehicle history via the iDrive?

Anyway a forum member helped me out big time and now I can see the exact time and date where the first 1.200 miles was done and the second service 1 year later on 5.000 miles was also done. The car sure did spend quite the time on a boat back and forth I dont know why, is it maybe from older BMW or something but here in Europe there seems to be a certain dose of doubt whenever the car is imported from the US. I personally dont see any differences and I just bought the car because it is FULLY loaded exept ceramic brakes and had just 6.000 miles on with new like condition. Didnt really care it was from the US. |

OP - glad you got it sorted out!
Now I have a new question: Is there a 5,000 mile schedule service? My car is about 7 months old and has 4,700 miles. When the car "boots up" it says the next service is 6,000 miles away... |

I think its either 1 year or a certain amount of miles, which ever comes first.

It's 1 year. I got my car in March of 2015, had my 1,200 mile service in May 2015. In February of 2016 I was getting a warning that an oil change service was due, even though I had only driven another 3,000 miles. My SA said "Yup, 1 year." He said, "Don't ask. It's a strange algorithm." Free oil change... I'm like. "Okay."
