This might be a stupid question, but if my current fill is liqui-moly 10w60, can I use castrol for top off?

Yes. Both are API-certified oils meaning they must be mixable with other API-certified oils.

Negligible differences. Both are approved by BMW, both are API SN. You and the car won't know the difference.

FYI it is speculated that the BMW TwinPower 10w60 oil is actually just Pennzoil Platinum Racing 10w60 with different labeling. You can look up the spec sheet for that, but on paper it's almost identical to TWS.

It looks like the fun is over. The price is up to $12.99/liter. I think you guys depleted the stock of the cheap stuff or at least tipped off Amazon that it was too cheap

I wonder if they'll cancel the $4.99 free shipping orders?

Prices change all the time on Amazon. I seriously doubt any orders will be canceled. I don't think the price was wrong. I think they were just trying to stimulate some sales.

Just got a call, from the company that was selling from amazon. It seems like amazon made a mistake in terms of quantity. The price is correct @ $4.99, but they only had this special price for 100 units. Amazon apparently put 1000 units @4.99.

Long story short, they will call you to cancel the order. I told him I wasn't happy, he said he will refund me an extra $10. I told him I will talk to amazon customer service first to figure out.

Best of luck

Was it a New York number? I couldn't pick up at the time.
