The 4th gen M3.... E9xM3 is a car for the ages.
Every time I start it my pulse races...
And I check my mirrors all the time in traffic ....
Wary of idiots, and tailgaters...

But right now it's snoozing, with fresh oil, and fresh AGM battery on the CTEK,
Waiting patiently for the next run...

What did I do to my M3 today?
LOL
I picked bugs out of its teeth (radiator) with a bamboo skewer

THAT is love, my friends!

Cheers

And happy Independence Day

Ha, gave my radiator a good clean the other day but from there to picking it with a bamboo skewer is a different level of love - Room for improvements!

My wife often says "it's better if you (me) don't look too closely!"
I spend way too much time fussing in the garage....

Speaking of cleaning the radiator is there any way to remove the front mesh in order to remove the bugs??

I had the car apart to do the throttle actuator gear replacement and I took a waterpik (mini pressure washer) to most of the engine haha. I spent like three hours, a can of degreaser and a whole roll of paper towels but it's looking pretty nice. but yea, i forgot about the radiator! props to ya

short of removing the bumper, I don't think so.
so I took some duct tape and taped two skewers end to end, as an extension to reach deep... to the main radiator, past the smaller front one.
To remove hard bug juice I taped a Qtip to one end and soaked it in Griots spray on wax. worked like a charm.
