Space Grey Metalic vs Road Grime and Dirt
Here's my X5 cleaned and detailed from dealer at 20 miles...
After 1,050 miles with no washes (I did clean the windshield) it pretty much still looks clean. There's a light layer of dust but its very difficult to see. My previous black/dark colored vehicles seemed like they needed a wash every few days. Pretty happy with this color. |

You must not live in desert or dirt climate. While mine does well to hide, I could not go 1000 miles and be happy with dirt and pollen buildup.

I cannot say the same for Los Angeles and Las Vegas, but it does hide better than my Dark Graphite or Mineral Gray. Pollen is the worst...I have seen clouds lift from evergreens with mild to strong winds.

You give me hope Coolidge! I'm in the process of ordering a '17 Space Gray and I'm coming from a black F30. My current car is usually covered in a noticeable layer of dust just days after washing.

Just so everyone knows the amount of dirt is still present regardless of paint color... It's just not as noticeable on the space grey.

Further, I would think what actually helps to repel dirt/dust is a good sealant such as expel, Opti coat, etc.

My Ram 1500 was dark grey/graphite and it would stay clean for about 1 day in my area, I hated it. I gave up washing it after a few months because there was no point.

Correct, there's a fair amount of dust and dirt it would fail a white glove test bad right now but with this color its just not that noticeable.
